Week 4: 12/02/2024

In the initial phase of the project, the workload was divided between two members where each focused on different tasks for the game. One member was responsible for programming and game mechanics while the other focused on the design and artwork.

Upon joining the team, I introduced my expertise in 3d modeling. My skills allowed us to enhance the visual aspect of the game by creating environment assets that would help visualize the game world and make users feel engaged and a part of the game's world.

Our schedule was quite challenging. Each member had their own commitments, ranging from work to personal obligations. Coordinating everyone's availability  seemed complex at times. We encountered conflicting schedules, and varying levels of flexibility. It took several rounds of discussions, compromises, and adjustments to reach an agreeable schedule for all members. Despite the initial difficulties, the process helped us improve our communication and teamwork skills, which led to the success of our project.

Current work:

In my role as a 3d modeler for our game, I have created a range of low poly assets and props for the forest environment. Among these creations, some notable ones include trees, each uniquely shaped to add diversity to the forest while maintaining a cohesive visual style. Additionally, I crafted rocks and boulders with a rugged texture.

These assets, alongside others, contribute to the experience of exploring our game’s forest environment
