Week 3: 05/02/2024
The past couple of weeks were head scratchers but we managed to figure out what we want to implement in our game.
Current Work:
So, on the developing side of things, we have a movement system in place including the traditional walk, run, jump and land. Along with movement, some combat has been implemented such as basic sword slashing and dodging.
On the designing side of things, we figured out one of the quests the players can partake in which is “Gathering Herbs”. Simply roam around the level and look for the herbs your quest requires.
Here are some of our current herbs and we’re quite happy with them!
Each herb has their own properties and can be used to brew some exciting items, soon to come!
Issues
Since our game is a hybrid of 2D & 3D, it was hard for us to split work on the design aspect. With our basic knowledge in 3D modeling and Blender, it’s going to be a tough hill to climb on.
